Telephone Service – Cisco VoIP

OVERVIEW

The Cisco VoIP Unified Communications system is one the University of Central Florida’s telephone and voicemail system. This system encompasses telephone, call center, voice messaging, email integration, and other current technologies.

Authorized Customers:

All UCF departments, direct service organizations, and private vendors/companies that provide support services to the University. UCF entities and direct service organizations located on the Orlando campus, the regional campuses, the Central Florida Research Park, and other UCF colleges located on remote campuses (e.g., Rosen College, UCF Medical Campus at Lake Nona, etc.).  Monthly Cost varies per phone model  – Setup Cost $70.00  (optional Voicemail $9.00 monthly)

IMPORTANT NOTE

  • Moving your IP telephone may result in incomplete location information being shown if the phone is used to dial 911 in an emergency situation.
  • For telephone service adds, moves, or changes, please contact your Telecommunications Liaison.
  • Authorized Telephone liaisons can use the Telecommunications Request Form (TRF) to request the change.

Voicemail Instructions

Cisco VoIP phones are integrated with the Cisco Unity and Exchange Unified Messaging voicemail systems. Learn more about using your phone with the voicemail system by visiting the following pages:

Model 7945 / 7965 Phones

UCF IT Telecommunications is not issuing Model 7945/7965 Phones for any new phone installs unless given special permission from management, however, some users may have been issued this model in the past.
