UCF Policies on Information Technology

The Division of Information Technologies & Resources (IT&R) is dedicated to providing efficient, reliable service to the UCF community. The following policies and guidelines are designed to comply with federal, state, and local regulations. Policies and guidelines under the authority of IT&R relate to computing, telecommunications, library, multimedia, web, internet, and distributed learning.

UCF Internet Browser Standards

Supported Browsers:
  • Firefox 51, 52
  • Internet Explorer 11 & Microsoft Edge
  • Safari 9, 10
  • Chrome 56, 57

Not supported: Any other browsers or versions not listed.

Additional Recommendations:
  • Use Internet Explorer 8 when working with the PeopleSoft Financials 9.1
  • For PeopleSoft applications IE 11 works in compatibility mode
  • Pop-up blockers should be set to allow pop-up messages from UCF
  • Enable cookies
  • Enable JavaScript
  • Install or update to the latest version of Java
  • Install or update to the latest version of Shockwave Flash
  • Have a screen resolution of at least 800 x 600
  • Verify that the computer’s date, time, and time zone are correct
